Guess what, there’s a plugin for that too. Sorry had to. Yes WordPress is an affiliate webmasters dream come true due to all the support it has received throughout the community. Not only can you cloak your affiliate links for free, you can also track them as well, all from within your dashboard. This plugin doesn’t come with any frames (unless you want it to) displaying that you’re using something for free either, like a few other sites that will remain nameless.
Yeah, I know everyone tells you that you have to use Twitter as part of your marketing plan, and Twitter is the greatest thing ever. But how exactly do you use Twitter effectively? Do you just throw out some links to all your Twitter friends and then they instantly go buy whatever you told them to? Is that how it works with your mailing list? Does everyone just do what you tell them to or do you only get a certain percentage of people to act?
We’re all aware that search engines love links to your website but link trading can be tedious and offers no real benefit to your visitors. Also, the chance of someone actually clicking your link on a page full of “useful resources” is so close to zero it’s not even funny. So what can be done about this? Article Marketing. That’s right article marketing.

Issues with Ikarus
I mentioned previously in the “Advertising platform problems put me off working on the site” post that I was having issues with the Ikarus Theme.
Gave OpenX a shot
I had planned on doing lots of work on making a poker website this month but it never happened for a few reasons. Firstly I decided to try out the OpenX http://www.openx.com advertising platform, but I had more difficulties with it than I had bargained for, and it ended up taking [...]
Getting personal
Sorry for the delay in posting. This post is a bit more of a personal blog type post. Going to keep these to a minimum but don’t think it’s too bad writing the occasional one.

On Randy’s site http://www.pokerseo.org/ he lists 8 key points that a poker webmaster should follow, I’m going to take a look at each one, talk about it in general and also in specific terms to my making a poker website blog.
